Motorcyclist killed in Banbridge crash was Gary Bernard Hamilton (27): Police
Police have named the motorcyclist killed in a road traffic accident in Banbridge as Gary Bernard Hamilton.
He was 27 years old and from the Armagh area.
He was riding his Yamaha motorcycle on the Castlewellan Road shortly before 10am on Sunday before he was involved in a crash.
The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
DUP MLA Carla Lockhart offered her condolences to the family.
She said: "This weekend has been one marked with tragedy with the death locally of Mr Philip Capper, Mr William Dunlop and now this young man. It demonstrates the fragility of life. Unfortunately these homes will never be the same again but it is our prayer that God will sustain them in the days ahead.”

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, who may have dashcam footage or was travelling on the Castlewellan Road and observed the motorcycle prior to the collision to contact local officers in Lurgan or the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 639 08/07/18.
