Motorcyclist left with 'life changing' injuries following Limavady collision

A motorcyclist has been left with what the PSNI has described as "life changing" injuries following a collision on Saturday.

The collision between a motorbike and a car took place on the Ballyquin Road in Limavady on Saturday afternoon.

A PSNI spokesman said police received a report of the collision just before 2.45pm on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as serious and life changing.

The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment for shock.

The Ballyquin Road was closed to traffic between Roemill Road and Glengiven Avenue. It reopened just before 11.30pm.

Constable Gregg Chambers said: “I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about this rtc to contact Limavady Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.”
