Motorcyclist Ross Willetts (22) named as Northern Ireland road crash victim
Police have named the young man killed in a motorcycle crash on Friday.
He was 22-year-old Ross Willetts.
He was killed on the Drumenny Road, Cookstown in a crash at around 3.30am on Friday. No other vehicle was involved.
The NI Ambulance Service said it had dispatched an emergency crew to the scene on the long country road, which runs between Ardboe and Ballinderry, but the biker's life could not be saved.
Ross was the second motorcyclist to die on the roads this year.
It brings to 26 the number of people who have died in road traffic collisions in Northern Ireland this year.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has dash-cam footage that could help police with their enquiries to contact police at Cookstown on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 409 12/07/19.
