Mum and sons jointly face drug and gun charges

By Paul Higgins

A mother and her two sons stood side-by-side in court yesterday accused of having drugs, weapons and a firearm.

Charlie (19) and Martin Valliday (18) were remanded into custody at Antrim Magistrates' Court, having not asked for bail. Their mother Emma Mahood (39) was freed.

All three, from Angus Street in Antrim, are charged with having a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances, as well as possessing a stun gun and CS spray, and having methadone and herbal cannabis with intent to supply, on November 7.

The Valliday brothers are further charged with obstructing police on the same date.

All three are due back before the court on December 6.
