A new partnership has been launched to raise awareness about responsible dog ownership.

Causeway Coast Dog Rescue (CCDR) has teamed up with the National Trust at Hazlett House in Castlerock. The CCDR focuses on rescuing and rehoming dogs.

With an increase in calls about cruelty and irresponsible ownership, they believe education and understanding is important.

CCDR chair Margaret Dimsdale-Bobby said: "This is a great opportunity for the trust and the charity to partner in raising awareness on the National Trust's requests when walking dogs in public spaces."

Lisa McCaughan of the National Trust said the partnership was a great means of raising awareness.
