New kitchens for Ballybeen

Something’s cooking in Ballybeen, as 60 homes can look forward to receiving new kitchens.

The Housing Executive has allocated £316,000 to replace the outdated kitchens, which will be upgraded with new units and worktops.

Paul Carland, the Housing Executive’s manager in Castlereagh, said: “This scheme is a welcome boost to the people living in Ballybeen.

“This investment demonstrates the Housing Executive’s commitment to improving the living conditions of its tenants.”

The new kitchens will also include electrical and plumping upgrades.

The work is being carried out by Mascott Construction, the Housing Executive’s partner contractor, who have carried out similar schemes throughout the south east area.

Gerry McEvoy, from Mascott Construction, added: “At Mascott Construction we fully appreciate the continuous investment and commitment from the Housing Executive to rolling out this type of project.”
