New transport hub for north west is opened
New enhanced passenger facilities and platforms opened yesterday at the new North-West Transport Hub in Derry.
The facility is an EU-backed £27m investment.
Additional funding has been provided by the Department for Infrastructure and the Department for Transport, Tourism and Sport in the Republic, as well as Derry City and Strabane District Council. The hub is located at the former Waterside Train Station. The next phase of works, including a park and ride site, will be carried out during the summer of 2020.
