Newborn baby girl found dead in east Belfast car boot
A newborn baby girl has been found dead in a car boot in east Belfast.
The infant was found in the vehicle in a street off the Upper Newtownards Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday evening.
A PSNI spokesman said: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a newborn baby girl in east Belfast.
"Police are assessing the results of a post-mortem examination and are continuing inquiries with the family of the baby girl."
Alliance MP Naomi Long said: "I would ask if anyone has any information that may assist the police in their investigations to come forward."
