A man arrested in Northern Ireland has appeared in court in Scotland charged with the murder of a man in Glasgow more than 20 years ago.
Derek Sheerin was found dead near Celtic Football Club's stadium in the east end of Glasgow in September 1994.
The 24-year-old Rangers fan had been strangled and his half-naked body dumped in weeds.
Phillip Morrison was arrested by the PSNI on Tuesday in Londonderry and taken to Glasgow for questioning.
The 39-year-old appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday charged with murder. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody ahead of a further court appearance later this month.
