No record of attack on RUC station

By Eamonn MacDermott

A solicitor has told Londonderry Magistrates Court that neither the defence team nor the police could find any record of an attack that a man charged with being involved in the murder an RUC man had admitted to.

Christopher O'Kane (40), of Woodland Avenue in the city, is charged with assisting offenders following the death of RUC man Michael Ferguson in Derry city centre on January 1993.

Defence solicitor Ciaran Shields said nobody could find any record of an attack on Strand Road RUC station, which O'Kane had allegedly admitted to.

The case was adjourned until January.
