North Belfast: Betting shop staff left shaken by robbery

Two women have been left badly shaken after the bookmakers where they were working was targeted in a robbery in north Belfast.

Two men who were dressed in grey hoodies went in to the Crumlin Road premises at around 8.30pm on Friday and demanded money from the two female employees.

The pair stole a sum of cash in coins and left the store while the two women were left shaken but were not injured during the robbery.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and questioned about the robbery but was later released on police bail.

Police say they are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
