North Down fall ‘pleasing’

“This year there have been 108 less victims of crime and crime in North Down continues to fall year on year,” said North Down DPP chair Councillor Anne Wilson.

The DPP provides a unique opportunity through partnership between members and the local community for local people to shape local policing. Each year we agree the policing priorities and targets from what the community tell us and it is excellent that the police have met five of these six targets.

“It is also very reassuring that clearance rates are in excess of 29 percent which means that more people are being caught for crimes in North Down. I would like to congratulate Chief Inspector Mark McEwan and his team on their excellent work.”
