Northern Ireland braced for 60mph winds as Met Office issue yellow weather warning

Northern Ireland is braced for 60mph winds after the Met office issued a yellow weather warning.

A spell of very windy weather is expected on Thursday with gusts of 50 to 60mph likely.

There will be a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.

There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.

Power cuts and mobile phone coverage may also be affected.

The Met Office has warned there is a small chance of danger to life from large waves and beach material being thown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and property.
