Northern Ireland firefighters tackle huge blaze in Mallusk

Firefighters have battled overnight to get a blaze under control at the ISL Waste Management plant in Mullusk, Co Antrim.

The Fire Service were called out to the fire at around 8.30pm on Sunday evening, with 50 firefighters and 11 appliances attending the scene.

These included an aerial appliance and a High Volume Pump.

Early on Monday morning the fire was still burning, but had been brought under control.

It is not clear how the fire started.

The public have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed.
