Northern Ireland netball team goes to new heights for Marie Curie Cancer Care

The Northern Ireland Netball Team is encouraging all Belfast Telegraph readers to support Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking on one of these exhilarating challenges: abseils, a zipwire or even a parachute jump.

These ever popular and much loved events are fantastic fundraisers for the charity. Last year alone, Marie Curie’s adrenaline portfolio raised an amazing £47,000, equivalent to 2,350 hours of Marie Curie nursing care in Northern Ireland.

Choose from one of the following:

Saturday 23rd March: Marie Curie’s ever popular Scrabo Tower Abseil is back for it’s sixth year. Very few abseils take place here every year so this really is a unique opportunity for all adrenaline junkies!

Saturday 11th May: Marie Curie’s Zipwire across the River Lagan - a great chance for all to see Belfast from this unique (high and fast) perspective!

Saturday 29th June: If you’re looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush, parachuting may be the challenge for you. You can parachute at any time for Marie Curie Cancer Care or choose to take part in our special Jump day on Saturday 29th June 2013.

Saturday 21st September: Marie Curie’s Ramore Head abseil is back for it’s second year. Enjoy the thrilling experience of abseiling the cliff face, ahead of tackling the rock climb back up!

Come together with like minded supporters to take on your adrenaline challenge this year, whilst raising vital funds to help Marie Curie Nurses continue to care for terminally ill patients in your local community. Once you sign up, the Marie Curie Events Team will support you all the way.
