Northern Ireland road sign to be replaced due to spelling mistake

A road sign in Co Down is to be replaced after the name of a town was spelt wrong.

The sign is situated off the new section of road on Millennium Way in Lurgan, directing drivers to "Get in lane".

But 'Banbridge' was listed as 'Banbrdige.'

It is understood the mistake happened during the manufacturing stage.

A Department of Infrastructure spokesman said: "The Department is aware of this error.

"It will be rectified within the next 24-48 hours at no cost to the Department."
