A yellow status weather warning issued by the Met Office for Northern Ireland has been cancelled.

It warned of a chance of flooding to homes and businesses with heavy showers and thunderstorms on Thursday.

It applied to every county in Northern Ireland except Fermanagh.

"Change to warning area to exclude Northern Ireland and include parts of Lincolnshire," said a spokesperson for the Met Office.

The weather is expected to improve on the Twelfth of July with expectations of 20C weather that will continue into the weekend.

The weather warning remains in place for parts of north England and Scotland.
