Translink is reminding people intending to travel the Papal Visit in Dublin next weekend, that pre-booking is essential for trains and buses. Translink has arranged a transport plan for the Papal visit events, including the World Meeting of Families event at the RDS on Saturday August 25 and the celebratory Mass on Sunday 26 in Phoenix Park. Customers urged to plan and book their journey well in advance through www.translink.co.uk/popeinireland/ where online tickets can be purchased for the special services. Goldline cross border coach services can also be booked online. In addition to scheduled services bus and train specials are running. The transport provider said it had capacity for over 5,200 passengers bookings were "strong". "This is set to be a major event and Translink look forward to playing an important part working with the NTA to ensure its success," a spokeswoman said.
