It brings to an end a two-day run where we recorded our hottest days of the year, with temperatures on Thursday hitting 25.8C, before climbing to a high of 26.2C yesterday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for severe rain due to hit the province at around 1pm today and continue until early tomorrow.
Patchy downfalls are also forecast through until the middle of next week.
