Northern Ireland Women's U19's beaten 6-0 by Germany
Northern Ireland Women's U19 team will not progress to the knockout stages of the Women's Under-19 European Championship after being beaten 6-0 by Germany.
Northern Ireland got off to a poor start, with Germany's Klara Buhl scoring after less than 10 minutes.
Buhl doubled her tally before the half hour mark, followed by a goal from Annalena Rieke.
Despite being three goals down, Northern Ireland continued to put in a battling performance against their superior opponents, with goalkeeper Lauren Perry making a number of saves.
Just under 10 minutes into the second half Kristin Kogel slotted home for Germany's forth.
This was followed by goals from Caroline Siems and Anna Gerhardt.
In total, 1,783 turned out at the Ballymena Showgrounds to cheer on the Northern Ireland team.
