The PSNI chief constable has honoured two young men for intervening in a vicious attack.

Dominick Kelly and Patrick Harvey witnessed the attack on an older man in The Square area of Moy, Co Tyrone last year.

They both intervened only for the attacker to turn his attentions on them dishing out kicks and punches.

They both stood firm and overpowered the attacker holding him until others came to help and until the police arrived to arrest him.

This week past the Chief Constable presented them both with an award in recognition for their actions.

"Not all heroes wear capes," said police in a Facebook post.
