'One of a kind' teenaged drugs victim is laid to rest

By Staff Reporter

Grieving mourners gathered in north Belfast yesterday for the funeral of Graham Larsen.

Mr Larsen, whose death is believed to have been caused by a drugs overdose, was the son of prominent loyalist Mark Campbell.

The 19-year-old was found dead just six months after his father died of a drugs overdose.

Mark Campbell was once charged with the murders of two Catholic workmen on the evidence of a supergrass, but the case against him was later withdrawn.

Grieving relatives gathered at the Whitewell Tabernacle to pay their respects to the young man.

Friends and family of the teenager, who is father to five-month-old Joshua, posted tributes after his sudden death on Tuesday.

Many described the former pupil of Monkstown Community School as "one of a kind" and a "gentleman" who had a heart of gold.

A JustGiving website that was set up to help with the funeral costs raised more than £1,000 in 24 hours.

The organiser of the fund said that they wanted to help Graham's family, including his mother, Julie Larsen.
