One seriously injured in Fermanagh crash

By Allan Preston

A woman was in a serious condition in hospital last night following a one-vehicle collision in Co Fermanagh.

The crash happened yesterday evening in Irvinestown on the Killadeas Road between Connolly Park and the Manoo Road.

Diversions were put in place and police advised drivers to seek alternative routes well into the evening while officers conducted their investigations at the scene.

It's understood the accident occurred at around 6pm yesterday.

Ambulance crews arrived on the scene shortly afterwards. The woman was taken to the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen for treatment.

A 29-year-old man died in a five-vehicle collision on the same road in 2009.
