Opera returns to big screen at Belfast City Hall with Verdi’s Rigoletto

The wonder of the opera will once again come to life on the ‘Big Screen’ at City Hall, as Belfast City Council gets set to show Guiseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, direct from the Royal Opera House in London.

The tragic love story of Rigoletto will be screened live on Wednesday (17 September), exclusive to Belfast City Hall as part of an outreach programme aiming to bring cultural experiences from the Royal Opera House in London to cities across the UK.

Everyone, from opera fans to visitors, is encouraged to come along and enjoy the spectacle, which will also feature backstage access and interviews from the Royal  Opera House, all in the beautiful setting of Belfast City Hall lawns.

Entry into the grounds is free and will be on a first come first served basis, with the performance due to start at 7.30pm. Standard Belfast City Council terms and conditions apply, with the show due to end at 10.30pm.
