Orange Hall attacked

THE Orange Order has called for an end to sectarian attacks on Clifton Street Orange Hall, near Carlisle Circus, after it was paintbombed on Monday night. It is the second time the hall has been attacked in as many weeks and the sixth time since July last year. Belfast County Grand Master George Chittick said. "Brethren in north Belfast are to be greatly commended for their resolve and fortitude, despite such blatant sectarian harassment and the stoking of tensions by republicans."

one with information regarding the attack to pass it on to the police as a matter of urgency. The latest Clifton Street incident is the 14th reported attack on Orange property so far this year. Last month, halls were attacked in Belfast, Newry and Fermanagh. A hoax bomb was also discovered in the grounds of Newcastle Orange Hall, Co Down.
