Orange Order in tribute to US theologian
The Orange Order has extended its sympathy following the passing of leading theologian RC Sproul.
A minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and founder of Florida-based Ligonier Ministries, he died last week at the age of 78.
Earlier this year Mr Sproul, the grandson of a Pittsburg Orangeman, penned personal correspondence commending the Order on the literature it produced, in partnership with the Royal Black Institution, to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
Paying tribute to Sproul, Robert Campbell, co-ordinator of the Luther 500 project, described his legacy as "huge", particularly in terms of the religious works he produced during his life.
