These are the images which saw Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life photographers recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Kevin Scott and Colm O'Reilly were recognised at the Northern Ireland Press Photographers' Association (NIPPA) awards on Thursday.

Kevin, a Telegraph photographer, received a third place in the individual study for his portrait of Lady Rose; and a national merit award for his overhead image of Danny Boyle's Pages of the Sea, marking the end of the First World War.

He also won second and third in the news category, which was won by Colm, a Sunday Life photographer. Colm also received a national merit award for an image of a grieving mother.

Kevin said: "The NIPPA awards are seen as the pinnacle of photography awards in Northern Ireland. At the age of 24 it's amazing just to be recognised in a competition with so much talent."
