Two men have been charged with drugs offences after raids in Carrickfergus and Larne by police investigating the UDA in south east Antrim.

A 41-year-old has been charged with possession of Class A and B drugs and is to appear in court on May 24 in Belfast. That comes after Paramilitary Crime Task Force investigators seized cocaine and cannabis in Carrick in September 2017.

Another man (43) will appear in a Ballymena court on May 23 on possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply. That follows after officers seized cocaine in a raid in Larne in January this year.

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
