By Amanda Ferguson

Two men are being questioned by police after a teenager was headbutted and robbed of cash at knifepoint in Ballymena.

The men, aged 24 and 55, were arrested yesterday after a 19-year-old was attacked and threatened with a knife during a robbery in the Crebilly Road area of the town on Monday.

A PSNI inspector said: "Shortly after 7.10pm, it was reported that a 19-year-old man was assaulted by a male close to a youth club in the area. It is believed the male was headbutted and threatened with a knife by the male during the incident.

"A sum of money was taken during the incident as the male made off in a purple Peugeot car.

"The male was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening."
