Paisley on the road to recovery
Former Northern Ireland first minister Ian Paisley has shown he is on the road to recovery after his recent health scare.
Lord Bannside, 85, was pictured at home in Belfast laughing, joking and having a cup of tea with his wife Baroness Eileen Paisley 10 days after being released from hospital.
The founder and long-time leader of the Democratic Unionist Party was rushed to the Ulster Hospital at Dundonald, on the outskirts of Belfast, at the start of February suffering from apparent heart failure.
At one stage he was in intensive care.
The former moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church fell ill 10 days after preaching his final sermon as a church minister.
He was MP for North Antrim for almost 40 years before being made a peer in 2010.
After stepping down from the church pulpit, Lord Bannside said he was going to focus on writing his memoirs.
