Pam's People: Get crafty and sow the seeds of music

Where would you find a ceramic pot by Grayson Perry with 54 pairs of bronze chicken's feet cast in China as well as some of the most innovative pieces designed by local artists?

Glastonbury, T in the Park and Woodstock are all legendary music festivals. To that list add Sunflowerfest taking place for the fifth time at Tubby's Farm outside Hillsborough this weekend. At the launch in the Sunflower Bar it was confirmed that there will be headline performances from The Orb and The Answer and once again the Enchanted Glade will be filled with music, storytelling, art, poetry and workshops embracing the countryside.

Orangefield High School may have closed but many of its former pupils like Marie Jones and Brian Keenan are being celebrated during this weekend's Eastside Arts Festival. The highlight will be a couple of gigs in the school by Van Morrison and at the launch guests were taken on a tour of some of the venues including the Strand Arts Centre.
