There are not too many items of footwear that are instantly recognisable, not only by appearance but also by initials. DMs certainly are and now the first stand-alone Dr Martens store has opened its doors in Belfast.

There were 30 very worthy finalists but it was Portglenone's Kathy O'Neill who won the title.
She cared for her son Caiden, who at five months old was diagnosed with cancer and who sadly passed away just after the awards aged just six, but she has also raised £24,000 for many charities. A SuperMum indeed.
