Pam's People: You know the drill, so let's celebrate!

By Pamela Ballantine

I really don't know anyone who enjoys going to the dentist. However, the practitioners at Dunmurry Dental Practice must be doing something right as they have been winning awards since they first fired up their drills 10 years ago.

To celebrate the practice's 10th birthday it held a reception for loyal clients, where I'm delighted to say there was more than just mouthwash on offer.

The sun has been a wee bit scarce recently, but it was shining in Hadskis in Commercial Court thanks to Lidl Northern Ireland, which has brought the flavours of the Iberian Peninsula to the restaurant courtesy of its new range Sol&Mar. The Portugese and Spanish tapas were perfectly complimented by Spanish vino, with guidance from wine expert Peter Wilson.

Many countries are producing delicious sparkling wines, but only ones from the Champagne region in France are permitted to call themselves Champagne.

However, there are many different houses that produce my favourite tipple and Champagne Ayala is one that has been helping people celebrate for the last 150 years. To herald its arrival here United Wines invited guests to Café Vaudeville to pop a few corks to celebrate. Cheers!
