Paramilitary style shooting in north Belfast

A man has been shot in both feet in a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast on Saturday night.

Shortly before 8.30pm the man was shot in the Havana Walk area of Ardoyne.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound to each foot, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid commented: "I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact CID at Tennent Street Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.”
