Park ranger hurt in concrete attack
A park ranger has been injured when a lump of concrete was thrown through the window of his van in west Belfast.
The ranger was treated in hospital for facial injuries after the attack on the Springfield Road.
Sinn Fein councillor Stephen Corr, from Belfast City Council, said the ranger managed to keep control of his vehicle.
He drove away from the scene before stopping and getting help following the incident on Saturday night.
Mr Corr said ambulance and fire and rescue vehicles were being targeted regularly on part of the Springfield Road.
"It is shocking that this was a guy going about his work, ending up in hospital with severe facial injuries," he said.
A council spokeswoman said: "Council staff assisted at the scene and police were called and are continuing to investigate the incident."
