Pedestrian killed in Co Tyrone car crash

A 63-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car in Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone, this morning.

The crash happened just before 10.25am on the Monaghan Road and involved a dark coloured Audi A4.

A man aged 51 has been arrested.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative main routes for their journey.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or was travelling on the Monaghan Road around the time of the incident to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station by calling 0845 600 8000.
