Pensioner escapes injury after New Year's Eve petrol bomb attack in Co Derry
A pensioner in her 70s has escaped injury after a New Year's Eve petrol bomb attack on her Co Londonderry home.
The attack happened at around 10.10pm in the Leckagh Walk area of Magherafelt.
Two petrol bombs were thrown at the woman's bungalow - one igniting, causing scorch damage to a window and door.
The victim was not injured, but left badly shaken.
PSNI sergeant Bruce Rhymer said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact police at Magherafelt on the non-emergency number 101.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
