Pensioner killed in Co Down crash named as James Fisher (78)

The pensioner killed in a crash in Co Down has been named as James Fisher.

The 78-year-old man was struck by a car at Glebe Road in Annahilt at 8.45pm on Tuesday.

Mr Fisher had been living nearby at Annahilt Care Home on Ballynahinch Road, County Down.

He died from his injuries on Wednesday morning.

The collision involved a red Volvo C30. The driver has been spoken to by police.

The crash is being investigated by the PSNI and Four Seasons Health Care, which owns the care home.
