Pensioner killed in two car crash in Londonderry named: Two men arrested

A 69-year-old man killed in a two car crash on Wednesday in Derry has been named as David Richie from the area.

He died after a smash on the Glenshane Road between Derry and Claudy.

Two others - a man and a woman - remain in hospital being treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.

Two men - aged 22 and 26 - have been arrested and are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.

The Glenshane Road remains closed and police are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route if possible.
