A petrol bomb has exploded at the front door of a house in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast.

Shortly before 1.00am on Sunday, a front window of the house at Cloona Manor was smashed before a petrol bomb was thrown at the front door.

Minor damage was caused to the front door and no one is believed to have been in the property at the time of the incident.

A second unexploded petrol bomb was discovered in the driveway of the house and has been taken away for further forensic examinations. Enquiries are continuing.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them in Lisburn on the non emergency number 101.
