Petrol bombs have been thrown at a house in the Short Strand area of east Belfast.

The attack at a property on Strand Walk happened at about 11.30pm on Sunday.

The PSNI said three petrol bombs landed at the back of the house and two were launched at the front. No damage was caused and no one was injured.

Tensions have been high in the area after separate petrol bomb attacks on loyalist and nationalist communities living on both sides of the peace line last week.

A four-year-old girl suffered minor burns when a lit device landed near where she was playing in the nationalist Short Strand area.

Earlier in the week a teenager was arrested when a petrol bomb was thrown into the loyalist Cluan Place.
