Petrol bombs and bricks thrown at house in Ballymena

Bricks and petrol bombs have been thrown at a house in Ballymena.

Police received a report around 12.15am on Friday that a petrol bomb had been thrown at a house in the Railway Street area of the town.

Bricks were thrown at the property smashing a front room window, followed by two petrol bombs.

Scorch damage was caused to the property.

A man and woman inside the house were uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said: "I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at all in the area to contact Detectives in Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 9 of 23/02/18.
