Photos: Thousands compete in Belfast City Half Marathon

Thousands of people have taken part in the annual Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.

In total around 3,500 runners competed.

The first person across the line and the winner of the men's race was Gideon Kipsang, followed by Northern Ireland's Stephen Scullion and Freddy Sittuk in third.

Olympian Catriona Jennings, who competed in the marathon at London 2012, was the winner in the women's race, coming in ahead of Judith Lonnen in second and Ciara Toner in third.

The event is in its fifth year, and is officially partnered with charity Mencap.
