Firefighters extinguished a deliberate gorse fire near a residential area in west Belfast on Wednesday.

One appliance from Springfield Fire Station helped a local resident put out the fire.

"Firefighters dealt with a gorse fire approximately 40 square metres in size. The incident was dealt with at 8.41pm. The cause of the fire appears to be deliberate," a NIFRS spokesperson said.
