Pipe-bomb found in Glenmeen Close garden examined
A pipe-bomb is being examined by forensic experts after it was made safe and recovered during a security alert in west Belfast on Monday afternoon.
The alert in Glenmeen Close lasted for several hours.
Last night a police spokesman said Army bomb experts inspected and made safe a pipe-bomb-type device which was discovered in the garden of a house.
Glenmeen Close has since reopened and the device was taken away for further forensic examination.
