Police alert after report of device left on Portadown's Garvaghy Road
Police are warning the Portadown public to be vigilant after a report of a device was left in the Garvaghy Road area.
Officers have been conducting searches in the area after a telephone call reporting the incident was passed to police.
Police concluded their searches and nothing was found.
"Police are appealing to anyone who notices any suspicious objects not to touch them but to contact police immediately by calling 999 and quoting reference number 901 06/06/19," a PSNI spokesman said.
The Garvaghy Road has been at the centre of a decades long parading dispute. The Parades Commission has banned Orangemen parading along the predominately nationalist road since 1998.
