Police and fire service attend suspicious house fire in Rasharkin

A suspicious fire has broken out at a house near Coleraine.

Police received a report at around 8.30pm of a fire at a house in the Churchfields area of Rasharkin

Police and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance.

Inspector Colin Reeves said: "There are no reports of an injuries.

"Police are treating the incident as suspicious at this time.

"Anyone who was in the area at around 8.30pm and noticed any suspicious activity, or who knows anything about this incident is asked to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1363.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
