Police appeal after woman in her 80s hit by tractor in Co Antrim

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in Co Antrim after being hit by a tractor.

The crash happened on New Street in Randalstown on Wednesday.

It was reported at around 6.30pm, and led to the woman sustaining injuries to her head and legs.

The woman, aged in her 80s, remains in hospital at this time in a serious but stable condition. 

"Officers would ask anyone who was in the New Street area around the time of the collision to contact them in Antrim on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 987 06/09/17," police saod.
