The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault and grievous bodily harm. He was then released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A police spokeswoman added: "However, as Donegan was unlawfully at large after his licence was revoked by the Department of Justice on April 21, he was returned to prison."

A bus lane camera was attacked and a man and woman assaulted in an incident on the Falls Road on west Belfast on April 17.
