Police arrest three after discovering £30k worth of steroids in Belfast

Police arrested three men on Tuesday after discovering £30k worth of a steroids at a property in east Belfast.

They recovered a quantity of class C drugs following a search at a property in Castlereagh Street.

Three men aged 32, 47 and 63 were arrested at the scene and have been taken into custody for questioning.

Neighbourhood Team Inspector Keith Hutchinson said intelligence led to police conducting the search.

“Our proactive intelligence led search took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers from the Titanic Neighbourhood Team acting upon information received, entered the premises and recovered steroids with a value of approximately £30,000.

“This shows our commitment to address the issue of illegal drug use and supply in the east Belfast area, and I would encourage anyone with any information which could assist us to contact police in Strandtown on 101.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
